Timing?

Timing?
I have a 79 f250 w a 460 I replaced the distributor with an HEI & new plugg wires. What should my timing be at in degrees +/-. I have strait pipes w/ high flow headers, edelbrock 4brl carb, and the engine was rebuilt about two years ago.

The timing for an HEI ain't no different than the stock dist. Check your bible for the degree setting. Might be different if you have a 'other than stock' cam, though.
Also, with an HEI dist, you can set your plug gap 10 (or so) thousands wider due to the higher than stock voltage.
