2nd maf sensor in a week

On a 06 F250 with the 5.4.

I do not have an oiled air filter on just a plain paper one.

What could be killing them?

First one went out when the alternator went to 20 volts for a very short time before i shut it off.

you should maybe check out the wiring. may have messed it up

I have checked the wires and they are good.

What's making you think the MAF is bad? Trouble codes? Post them up.

No codes on them.

The pick-up started running like heck than quit.
I unplugged the maf and it ran good except when the rpms go up.
Plug it back in and the motor dies.

I put one in and it runs like normal.

Is there an electrical problem with the truck?

Charging system?

It may not be the MAF, but electrical condition to the PCM.

If I understood you correctly, your original MAF went bad and then one replacement went bad? Was the replacement brand new or a rebuilt? I had to replace one once and the rebuilt unit I got from NAPA failed within 2 weeks. The second unit received under warranty is still running.

Did you say 4 alternators?

There is a problem with your charging system.

I suggest you have the computer checked too.

3 tested bad right out of the box before leaving the store.
1 tested good on the machine then would not work in the truck.

Put a reman from Ford and everything is good so far.

Shops have been having trouble with napa electrical.
Yrs ago they went through the same thing with part from mexico and switched to parts from canada.
