How do you clean a MAF sensor?

I picked up a MAF cleaner at the auto parts. Make sure it's a true MAF cleaner. Removed the sensor from the inlet tube and spray it down. Don't touch the wire. I had to do this once when I was running a K&N filter and was getting lean codes. Once I cleaned it, I haven't had a problem since.
