Water Pump
I have a '72 f-100 w/ a 360fe. I am hearing a scraping sound that is coming when I spin my fan. I think it is the water pump but I want to make sure.
If it is can you rebuild it, or is there a reliable source out there.

Remove the belts and wiggle the fan(to check bearings in water pump). Likely the bearings are bad which could allow the impeller to rub inside the casting.
Cheaper/easier to just replace the pump.
