I have a 1968 f100 with a 5.9L 360. the water pump is making an interesting sound and i figured it is just the bearing wearing out. I have only had the truck for 6 months and nothing has been replaced in years according to the previous owners. I have replaced many parts but it is getting expensive and i was wondering if there is any way to fix it without replacing it.

Bearings and seals are available. But installed clearances and depths are critical since it is a pressurized system.
Don't know what engine the water pump is on that you're referencing but, I put a brand new (not rebuilt) NAPA water pump on my inline 240 for under $40.00 bucks.
If it's unknown how long the pump has been on the engine or, if it has 50,000 to 75,000 miles on it, it's time to replace it anyway.
$40.00 bucks (give or take) is very cheap compared to the cost of replacing a burned up engine.

2x... unless the water pump is for a rare, obscure engine or date coded as to be critical for restoration purposes, go for a remanned pump. If increasing costs are an issue, I'd take a look at other places to save $$. I don' think a water pump is the right place given the potential issues it can generate should it not be rebuilt properly.
As I recall there is a bolt on cover on the back of a FE water pump. So OP thinks maybe rebuild it. I agree with those above. Buy a brand new one. Not rebuilt. That way it is done and over with. No questions or problems in the future.
