i am currently trying to run an '81 F-100 w/ I6 300 automatic, but the biggest problem is the lack of brakes. it loses fluid out of the front resivoir weekly and the pedal drops to the floor like the brakes are a joke... the vacuum lines are "ok" and the brakes lines are tight with no leaks, so do any of the wrench turners have clues as to what is tryin to get me killed? other than that it just blows out a reverse light bulb about once a month, i dunno - just gonna live with it for right now. gotta get it inspected first.

the front res. most of the time is for the rear brakes check that the wheel cyl are not leaking to do this you can look at the backing plate and see if it is "wet" or pull off the drums if not check the lines then the master cyl

Follow the rear brake line from the front port of the MC down to the frame rail and back to the crossmember just behind the rear axle. There's a brass union under your seat, so check it.
