Bleeding brakes

Hi, I blew a brake line on my truck, I got it fixed and i went to loosen the nipple so I could bleed the brakes and get all the air out of the lines and they will not come loose a 3/8 just rounded it over and a 11/32 will not fit it but i cant get in there to get vice grips on them does anyone have any idea how i could get them out.

There is not much you can do. You can try and soak them in penetrating oil, but usually they break off when you try to turn them. You may end up replacing the wheel cyl or caliper.

i had to replace the front calipers on my 79 and it was only 100 bucks for both!

Next time use a flare wrench and not an open-end.

You can try tapping a good 6 point socket over the bleeder with a hammer. If the bleeder breaks off, replace the whole wheel cylinder/caliper. The part store rebuilt ones are so cheap, it isnt worth rebuliding your old one anymore. We cannot compete with overseas labor..LOL
