Failed emmisions in az, what can i do?
I have a 07 f350 with 64k miles and a egr delete kit ( welded the ends but its all still there). Have a sct performance tune with the egr sensor bypassed. Passed the visual inspection which aint really much here in Phx , AZ but they made me step on the gas 3 times while in park to check opacity. Well i got 68.2 when 40.0 is passing. They are trying to tell me that there is several things like a dirty air filter, restricted air intake, fuel injection system or timing failure. Does any one know what i can check or do to get my truck to pass. Truck is still pretty new mileage wise and im wondering if the egr delete kit could be the problem? Help any 1?

I bet your not using any additive. Make sure that your truck is not had time to cool
down also. Then get some PM-22a and run that in there before and during the test.
Clean your MAP sensor and maybe have a peek at the EBP sensor also. That will
through off your boost. Check the air filter minder and see if your still in the green
Also if your running a tune set it back to stock. Also before you go back in
go and drive the snot out of it. Make that turbo work. Then go in and give it a try.
The only other this is maybe you do have a problem

Its the tune, lose it for the inspection and then put it back afterwards, if you really need it. Of course, being a 6 liter you're probably going to push the head gaskets out of it (if you're doing any significant towing) unless you stud the block. If it were me I'd lose the tune permanently, or until I was able to build the engine to handle it.

If your device can use a tune file he may have what you need
or you can step up to a STC unit and he WILL have something for you then.

It's a true story. I was low on money due to the "starving artist syndrome" and it was either pass or junk the truck. It finally passed when I broke down and put a cat on it. A girl that worked there ran into the dyno area with her arms up and yelled; "it passed!"
