5.8 misses?

Truck misses or chugs under load. only while accelerating say up a hill. Cant figure it out.

Fuel filter, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil all new within last 6-8 months.

ideas? Checked the codes no new codes and no CEL.. Where should i start. its getting annoying!

Could be your tranny and/or torque converter. If your gearing is chewed up. Just my two cents

Come to think of it. I had a friend who had the same problem when he was loaded. he said his truck skipped or "chugged". He found that when he was loaded down a wire was being crimped and shorting out. The wire had something to do with the shifting sensor or something. he said he re routed the wire and it solved his problem. not sure if this helps...

What brand plugs and wires did you use? I've seen LOTS of problems with budget wires.
