jerking under load
i have a B2 '89 2.9L 5-manual with a big hole in the mufler. latetly i noticed its bucking (its more like a moderate jerk) when i go full trottle in 3,4 & od gears but runs perfect while i'm at idle.
i replaced the plugs with autos 104's since i got it 2 months ago and wires look good (but i'm leaning towards trying to change the wires next). or it could be fuel related (fuel pump or relay, regulator?) but im leaning towards an electrical fault, any ideas/sugestions to try, thanks.

From my experience with mine doing this I would think about ....rotor ...dist cap and pickup inside distributor. It's all a proccess of breaking it down till ya find the issue ....Pulling codes is good and that will sometimes guide ya were to look and I am sure some one will come on and explain how to do that.

Try pulling the codes (see the link for pulling the eec-iv codes in the tech info thread at the top of this forunm) and testing the fuel pressure. The wires sounds like a good idea too, has the fuel filter been changed.
