Under Tailgate lightbar on 2011
I have a 2011 F350 and am looking to install one of the LED lightbars under the tailgate with the running, turn, brake and reverse lights. Looking for recommendations on which brand and model has been good for others. Also, under my tailgate, on the right about 12" to the right of cener, there is a metal bracket sticking down where the lightbar would be mounted and looks like it would interfere with the installation. Any info/experiences would be appreciated.

You hear a lot about ones from Ebay and JC Whitney that are not
lasting very well. That being said if the price is low enough then
replacement every now and then won't hurt as much at the higher
priced units. I would like a good one to get more light for the
backup camera. It's just a bit too dark even with the built-in IR lighting.

I agree with the price is right bit. My first one I bought at advance auto parts lasted 4 yrs. Wife bought me this one for my anniversary, I think she paid. If it lasts another 4 yrs I will be happy. Quality has came a long way since these first came out also. Only time will tell.

I bought a fire and ice light bar for my 2005 Superduty from Advance Auto Parts for $100.... Its a three piece, has stop turn and reverse, been working great for four years. The only thing i did differently from the mounting instructions was self tapping screws instead of the cheesy sticky double sided tape. It's still solid and looks great. Good luck.

Yes, I have the tailgate step and not sure why, but some websites say that their light strip will not work with the tailgate step. There is a bracket that looks like it would be in the way under the tailgate, but not sure what this has to do with the step.
Anyone with the tailgate step on a 2011 have an undermount bar that works for them?
