hello folks. My rear camera is all full of moisture and quit. Any recommendations on where to purchase a replacement and will it fit right in? Thanks. 2009 F 350 with tail gate handle camera.

I’m assuming you’ve checked all your electrical connections and are getting power to the tailgate area, as there’s a vulnerable connector in behind the tailgate area that gets pretty corroded.
Anyway, while troubleshooting my reverse camera issue, last week, I came across a couple of links that may help:


Also, here’s a YouTube video of a guy installing this unit into an OEM Ford tailgate handle. This guy’s not a pro, by any means, but it gives some good visuals, if nothing else.


Before I figured out my reverse problem, I had run this stuff past my car audio/video guy and he said any flush-mount camera of this body diameter should snugly into the factory opening in the tailgate handle.

Go to amazon or eBay. The cameras are specific to the year and model of your truck. Mine came with the wiring harness needed to match the new camera to the plug at the back of the truck. I think they had instructions as well. It was cheaper than the oem replacement but not by much.
