Fuel Line leak on top of tank

Yes, I would think it would cause hard starting issues (losing prime). I am still having to fight this issue myself on my truck. As far as fuel connections I would think you could just put a new fuel line on there with a hose clip. I believe the supply line is 5/16 and the return is 3/8 or vice versa. Hopefully someone else can chime in here soon to help you out.

Supply is 3/8", return is the smaller 5/16"
You can get replacement ends for the nylon lines at Autozone or whatever...
Also check the actual metal lines coming out of the tank. I thought my rear tank sprung a leak, which pissed me off cuz it looked like a replacement tank the PO put in. I dropped the tank, and it was still in good condition, one of the metal lines coming off the sender had rusted through and that caused the leak.
Also, yes it could cause hard starting if the lines were leaking.
