I have had a Directed Electronics Avital on mine for about 5 years and works great. Not too bad programming the necessary delays.

I have a Clifford on my 03. Has nice range but I need to have the timer turned down. It has a 15 sec delay for the glow plugs and sometimes the truck won't start with remote. Have to cycle key and it fires right up.

viper alarm with remote start, and an iphone app. works excellently...

you can track, disable, operate remote circuits with relays, locate,
geofence, etc.

it'll also, i believe, start for 10 minutes every couple hours if the
temperature is below a set point...

This is what I have as well now for a couple years. Works great, I'll never own another truck with out it.

Do you know what model clifford you have. I have seen a Matrix 20.7x on ebay which looks a very good deal, but cant find any info anywhere to see if its diesel compatible.
Im reading options,do you know if timer start means it will work on a diesel,to give time for the glow plugs ?

My Clifford is a Matrix RSL 1.1. It has a 1 mile range. It is approx 4 yrs old. It spent the first part of its life in a SRT8 Charger.

The timer is for the glow plugs.
