What is the 2-way of choice these days? There are lots out there, lots made by the same company-different brand.
What are you all using thats non-Ford?
Longview, I have a Viper (which I believe is made by Clifford) Alarm/Remote start. Have had them on my last 3 trucks and have had no issues at all. They have great range and an easily set delay for glow plugs. I know they also make just the separate remote start without the alarm that is a little less expensive. -Glenn
Anything made by DEI is good. Python, Viper, Clifford, Avital, Ready Remote, Astrostart, Automate, Autostart, Xpresskit....all the same company and quality.
Any feedback on Compustar? (who makes/owns, quality etc) I see they have the glowplug delay, turbo timer...basically diesel ready.
Sometimes so many choices can be more of a pain than anything!
I think all the units made by DEI will have those features and a lot more. You can read most of the manuals online.
Compustar has a lifetime warranty (as do others) so I wouldn't think you could buy a bad one. They're all made (probably) by the same Chinese company so just pick one you like the looks and price of and go with it.
