My boss ordered a cat delete pipe from River City Diesel and here's a link to a copy of what they sent MBRP Catalytic Converter Test/Delete Pipe . Where it bolts to the downpipe is flat and has a gasket, but the stock exhaust uses a flare type fitting. I would imagine that mating the flat end of the new pipe with the flare from the factory exhaust would leave quite the exhaust leak but they insisted they sent the correct pipe. The one at 03-07+ Ford 6.0L Powerstroke Diesel Cat Delete Pipe looks like the right one. Any thoughts?

The second link is what I used after removing my kitty, Is it possible that certain years didn't have cats?
The way it sounds the pipe they sent is specifically for the MBRP exhaust kits and is meant for swapping out easily with the factory cat if you have to go have your emissions tested. Thats why it has the flat end with a gasket.
Raptor131,
I think you hit that nail on the head. I just had a look at the link
and much agree. Th OP's boss got the wrong part if he does not have
the MBRP pipe installed.
It says right on the page that it is a cat delete for MBRP systems.
The second page also says that it is for a stock system cat removal
I read the whole page 2 times and see where a person could get confused. Mbrp test delete pipe on the top could be interpreted as the manufacturer of the test delete pipe. Then lower it says " you must have An mbrp Turbo back or Mrbp down pipe to use Cat delete pipe" But I missed it the first time and I might have still confused that as a disclaimer similar to OFF-ROAD use only. But yes you are correct . I personally would just change the wording around to avoid confusion. Similar to " cat delete pipe for MRBP systems only, not for stock exhaust cat replacement"
You all are absolutely correct it WONT work w/a stock system but to the OP tell ur boss not to be upset w/the mistake if u read the consumer reviews others have posted about it as well & if for some reason he cant return it, i may be tempted to buy it. I have a full MBRP system & have been thinking of installing one so maybe we could work a deal
Edit: Now that i thought about it i believe it would work on 06-07 for sure even w/a stock system, cause iam using my stock kitty w/my MBRP system & they bolt flush using 2 bolts (same as stock). So the earlier SD's must of used that old style flange which is why the company selling the pipe in ur 2nd link has both style flanges already mated...Just a thought

Sorry for resurrecting this thread. But just received my Cat delete from MBRP yesterday. I already have the MBRP turbo back exhaust with the stock cat in place. It was my understanding that this was a direct bolt on and would take advantage of the stock hanger. Just from looking at it briefly I don't see how the hanger is going to work with what is there. Anyone have experience with this - am I missing something obvious?
I know that I could have someone fabricate a custom hanger - but the idea was having the ability to easily swap back and forth if needed.

I have the same one on mine, and yes it will fit. I was worried it would slip right out because it wasnt bent but it stays in there just fine. I ended up having to cut about 1/2 to maybe 3/4 of an inch off of the hanger because it would rub on the frame and create a horrible vibration sound.
I just installed a MBRP FAL414 cat delete pipe on my 2006 F250 today which already had a full MBRP Turbo-Back dual exhaust system installed & i was using my stock converter but decided to remove it
Mine bolted in perfectly, the hanger is completely straight but theres no way that sucker will slide off, its on a slight angle & very long (longer than necessary).
The poster above said he had to cut a little off his hanger, I did NOT need to cut mine down.
Thanks guys. Finally got under the truck tonight, took a good look at it and knocked it out in no time. In my quick look earlier - I just couldn't picture the hanger working since it was different from what was on the stock cat.
