Do Prius windows go up and down? I've never seen them down, and we have a couple where I work.

Not like the tax cuts for the rich stimulated the economy...

Here's what I don't understand. The ratification of the 16th amendment allowed for a federal income tax, and the 1913 Revenue Act increased the tax rates in preparation for a wartime economy. As you can see, the tax rate peaked in 1917-1918 when the US entered the war, to pay for it. It was considered un-patriotic to evade taxation, because you would be reducing the amount of money the US government had to fund it's military.

When Bush declared war in Iraq in 2003, you know what he also did? Passed a tax cut act, 8 days after then invasion. And look where we are. We have a massive deficit. If we had the same income tax rates (adjusted for inflation, of course) in 2003 at the start of the war(s) as we did during WW1, we wouldn't have nearly as bad of a deficit.

I was looking at a new series of "Walmartian" videos on youtube. All I kept thinking was "Everyone on those videos probably voted for Obama."

Over the years I've found that people like my neighbors start out "sensless" and end up "centsless".

I hate the prius family. Yes family cuz there is more then one model of that crap. Anyway, i get more people wanting to buy the Blue Ghost from me then telling me its crap.

What was fun was as i was leaving school there was traffic in the parking garage and i was obvi driving slow and some joker comes up to my window and starts giving me a lecture about how i need cats on my exhaust cuz im poluting and blah blah blah. Then he goes on to tell me that i should buy a toyota cuz they are better then a FORD anyday cuz they are clean green cars and more blah blah blah. And then he asks if i can smell my truck and im like yes i can and that is the smell of a American made classic that will last longer then any foreign s**t you could buy today. He didnt like that very much lets just say I could continue the story but it requires an exchange of words when he saw my anti obama sticker on my AMERICAN made, no bailout needed machine. I will never buy and OBAMA MOTORS truck or car or anything but a FORD

I have driven many Prius's the last couple years. They are great cars and are pretty nice if i say so myself. Great power and are pretty fascinating. To bad all the owners are idiots and can't keep the traps shut.

Hey don't get me wrong I love these old trucks that is why I have 3 of them. But in certain situations it is nice to have a car that can get 45 MPG on every tank.

I don't care about the ozone. I don't care about zero emissions. I floor it at every light in my trucks too. Smoking out everyone and running straight pipes is great. I don't care about mileage. But it is nice to be able drive cross country for cheap.

Now back to turbohunter's thread.

The dealership I work at has only replaced one HV battery, and it was in one of the first gen Echo based models. Toyota actually paid for the battery replacement completely for research purposes.

I like my Tacoma. It's like an overgrown, enclosed 4 wheeler. I just can't haul very much in it. My Camaro actually got better mileage that my Toyota until the engine died.

"starts giving me a lecture about how i need cats on my exhaust cuz im poluting and blah blah blah"
As to someone saying you need cats on your truck, putting them on a vehicle that was not equipped with them when built is actually illegal. It is considered modifying the emissions control system, like removing EGR.

I won't buy a Hybrid. I like conventional drivetrains. Sure the mileage is great but I'm recycling by buying used vehicles. Mine were built in 48, 53, 54, 78, 88 and 95. Different makes and models but none new. See, I'm green too. My vehicles just cancel out all the Priuses (Prii?) in my neighborhood.

Figured I would get in on the action alittle.... Just heard the US is expected to become the worlds largest oil producer not because of gov't but because of technology. Good. My dent is gonna need it.
