Bushing rods

Hi im currantly bushing my conecting rods whith 292 bronze bushings ... im trying to hone my bushings to size should my pins be able to chlatter upp and downwords in the bushings ?

no movement!

should be .0008 on clearance. just under a thousanths of a inch. no movement. should just float through but no slop.

okey how should i hone my rods i honed 2. with a stone honer in my drill and the ends seems to be wider than the middle of the rods

that was my next question!

trying to hone with a hand drill? usually you setup on a rod machine and have a guide help keep rod straight. if you let rod move around a little you tend to favor one side of the rod compared to the other. what type of tool you using to measure the small end of rod. dial bore gage?

im using a 3. stone tool simular simular to this one Performance Tool Cylinder Hones W80560 - SummitRacing.com but im thinking about taking the rods to a shop and have them do them for me so i wont mess this upp
