A spare?

any one have a C3AE-C rod they can part with? "in serviceable condition"

one of the Merc 390's bushings wore out of round. Dont figure it's worthy any more to look at it.. Save me a trip to the bone yard please!!! STUFF follows me home LOL

Just a note here a C7AE-B rod is the same. Both the C3 and C7 rods are the same. Only diff is the ones that were machined for the larger rod bolts 427/428CJ applications. I know I don't have any sorry. If I did they would be yours for the asking.

Good to know. If I do end up back in the yard "GOD forbid"... it'll come in handy!!

Well arent you having the Rods sized anyway? they'll need to press out the old and install new bushings at the pin anyway..and resize em...

Just wear your boots to the yard and slip one rod inside each boot!!! Not that I've ever done anything like that.

**** you can say that again!!! Got most of the port preliminary efforts out of the way today.. we'll see what gives next weekend. Never really occured to me just how clean a hobby the boat thing is LOL!!!!!!!!! If we don't strike oil/water we'll get some picts next weekend of the ports on Tom's donor heads. Think we'll just take the lot of C4's to the machinist for an ini mini mynie moe LOL....

Oh that remeinds me of dats of yesterday when I worked in a tool and die Casting Co, I had to machine Shot pistons for the Casting Machines once a week (make spares) and they were made from Burrilyum copper..

Yuk !! everything tasted like copper for 3 days after that!!
