would the exhaust back pressure sensor only matter if its cleaned if you stil have the exhaust back pressure valve in use? or would it still improve mpg to clean it?
The EBP Valve and the EBP sensor are completely seperate items. The sensor is giving engine back pressure signals to the PCM.
The Exhaust Back Pressure Valve closes in the turbo exhaust while the truck is in startup to give more back pressure and therefore more load to the engine to help it warm up quicker. The two items sound alike but are VERY DIFFERENT from each other.
Yes it can still improve MPG's if you clean the tube and maybe restore some power via the signal to the turbo from the PCM.
