thats cool but the 300 would be a different bracket? I don't care about the pump (keep it); I would buy a new one; that bracket from the 76 360 can be hard to find.
the three modules in 76 i believe were duraspark1 and duraspark 2 and duraspark2 with elevation spark retard (yellow block 1978/79 only on module).
That 76 he has his 360 in is probably a duraspark 1 which has a diffrent plug on the module, and not compatable with a durasprk1 distributo. The plugs don't match up.
Maybe a 240 six cylinder dist would work. Did they offer a 300 six in 76? = 1965/96 or was it still a 240? = 1965/74. 1965/74: 240 I-6 standard equipment, 300 and etc engines optional / 240 cancelled at the end of the 1974 model run / 300 became standard in 1975.
You keep posting this incorrect crap. The OP has failed to mention which module his truck has (no ID numbers, no square color), so who knows if it's the 1976 original or something was swapped in?
I've listed the correct info twice before in this thread, here it is again with added info. If you don't believe me, get a 1973/79 Ford Light Truck Parts Catalog and look for yourself.
The module used in 1974 is 1974 only: D4AZ-12A199-C / The module used in 1975 is 1975 only: D5AZ-12A199-C
ONE module (blue plastic square) used in 1976 for 300/302/360/390/460.
SAMEblue module used 1977/79 300/302/351M/400/460 except for some 1977/79 CA vehicles (red square), except1978/79 High Altitude vehicles (yellow square).
BLUE module: 1U2Z-12A199-AA replaced D6AZ-12A199-A & D9VZ-12A199-A / D6AZ = 1976 part number prefix.
RED CA module: D7AZ-12A199-A
YELLOW 1978/79 High Altitude module = D9AZ-12A199-C replaced D8AZ-12A199-A.

Which bracket you looking for? I've got a few pieces laying around the shop yet.
Ok here's what I have or should I say here's the pictures of what I have. The module from the original 360 has a blue plastic plug where the wires go into the module. The distributor in the 300 has 2 wires coming out of the distributor and the numbers on the electronic module are 17AB-v4. I'll try to get a better look at the 300 module tomorrow to see if I can read the name on the electronic part in the distributor. I thought it might show up in the picture but it was to out of focus.
All right, just as I suspected. The distributor on your 300 was originally a points distributor and someone has upgraded it to a Pertronix-style setup. It will not hook up to the Ford ignition module in your other picture (it doesn't need to because all the ignition components are self-contained in the little black box).
Your options are to set up the Pertronix-style module in the 300 as it exists today, or swap the distributor for a Duraspark distributor and hook that into your existing truck's harness. If you want to go the first route, please try to find all the names and numbers on the module inside the 300's distributor (I can't tell if it's actually a Pertronix box or a knock-off from Summit). The second route would be less wiring to mess with.
I finally got the info off the little box in the distributor. It says "IGNITOR" by Petronix. Then CAR"B" or CAR"8", can't tell which it is and D-57 2 The CARB or CAR"8" is all one word or number.
