I used to work at an off road shop and we found that if you set the Toe Out just slightly (about a half inch difference if you're measuring it) and lower the air pressure slightly (30-32 psi for most tires) this will take care of it.
Obviously this is assuming that all of your ball joints, tie rods, bushings, ect are in good shape.
30-32 psi on a 6500-8000lb truck is way too low, your asking for a roll over. Minimum pressure should be 50psi. 99-04, 05+ call for 75psi in all 4
is this a problem on all SDs? or just ones with coil springs? our 99 aint ever done it, weve been over some pretty rough stuff at pretty high speed. (think ditch followed by curb at 65mph!)

The 99-04 with leaf springs in theory don't "need" a trac bar to locate, because they have 2 solid mounts with 4 points of attachment they will stay pretty much located, but because bushings can wear the trac bar ensures that nothing develops.
With the coil front end it's like balancing a straw on 2 other straws and hoping nothing goes wrong without a 3rd locating bar to center it.
