first an foremost new to the site my names pat,i have a 2000 f350 v10 I picked up a 2006 f350 6 cd disk radio/cd player been talking with a few ford guys that I no how can I put this set up in my truck do I go to the junkyard an get a radio harness or what? I need some answers thanks-pat
thanks,i have buddy who has a custom shop here in Whitman I spoke to him today what he said to do was to grab a harness for the radio an he would hard wire it all in he own sudden impact in Whitman specializing in custom sub woofer boxes to air ride suspension he knows his stuff
I don't think the wiring will be the hardest part of the project, I think the mounting and making it look nice will be the tough part. If you do it take some pics so others on the forum wanting to do the same thing will have some direction..
I think you should toss in the towel and just send it to me.. oh well, good thought anyway, I have seen an adapter plug for early model radio's to late model trucks and vice versa.. if the radio has two holes vertical on each side, its a 6cd am/fm like mine (but my 6 cd died.).. should be a no brainer tho..
got the radio harness for free from the junkyard out of a 06 with the same cd player I have came home an all I have todo is splice the wires together trim the hole out an bam we have a cd player lol
