ok, i ordered the bumper brackets from botp bout two weeks ago. i finally got the chance to install them tonight. with a small amount of persuasion from a rubber mallet and my right boot. haha i got them to line up and bolted in. the only gripe is that there isnt a brace from the outer holes in the bumper back to the frame rail. and the fact that the bolts provided from lmc were just bout too small for the bumper. but other than that they worked pretty well. ill get some pics posted up this saturday, im hoping to have everything on it and ready for it to come out of the shop for a little test drive. haha
i was so excited that i had to tell someone. haha
haha thats funny, but thanks for "liking" it. it really does look awesome. soon as i get everything finished on it this week ill post some pictures then its coming home!!!!! i havent even got to drive it since i bought it. but the exhaust is going on next week and finishing up the brakes tomorrow night i think.
Got mine too, from the same place infact. Just got my truck painted, so I will have mine on in a few weeks. Damn though, seems you have to spread the bumper edges a bit to get the bracket to line up with the bumper holes.
what i did, i started bolting in the top nut and carriage bolt and as i got it tighter the bottom seemed to line up. it did take some additional encouragement from a mallet. but thats cus i didnt have anything to work as a spreader readily available. but after i got it close i slid the bolt in and it lined right up. in reality you could take a grinder to the bottom bracket and shave a little off and itd fit much better. but that seemed like a lot of extra work. haha
