Behind the bumper, attaching it to the frame stubs, are two metal plates that hold the bumper on. They are either loose, or bent, and need to be replaced. Its possible the frame stubs are bent too, but unless you hit something thats unlikely. The brackets are available from Ford still, and just a few dollars (like $30 or so, I forget).
For a real cheap fix, I used a few washers on the upper bolts between the bumper and bumper bracket to kinda shimmy mine out. Fixed the frown; it now looks as straight as it should. Couldn't stand the look on my truck whenever I jumped into her...
I took the bumper off of mine and used a big pair of channel-locks and bent the bracket a little more forward on the top. (after removing the bumper of course). I know it sounds kinda Arkie but it worked for me.
My dad hit my bumper pretty hard and one side is sagging. I've looked at junk yards in the area and they don't have one. I don't want to pay 400$ for a new one. The sagging corner is a pet peeve of mine and i hate seeing it. Anybody know a cheaper place to get one other than a car dealer and e-bay?
