I got down and dirty with a 6.7 Powerstroke over the weekend. He has an H&S,all the deletes with an intake and exhaust. He got me on the start because while I was boosting I started to creep foward so i let off the pedal and the race is on with no boost so he had a good truck and a half but started to pass him at less then half track. Not bad for an old 7.3
Nice!
I've observed something similar when towing. The 6.7 takes off strong but peters out before reaching the top of the hill. The 7.3 is steady as she goes.....24/7.
Here's a better video and the racing community is try to build a track for us. About 5 years ago they sold the land which had the only 1/4 track on the island. Now we're the only island without one. Powerstroke 6.7 vs 7.3 - YouTube
It would make sense that the 7.3 would be more consistent than the 6.7, afterall we have 12 years of tuning to make sure out mods all work right and we keep power throughout the band. Give the 6.7 a few more years and let some people really break into the PCM and it wouldnt surprise me if they get MUCH faster.
