Chris, you heading down to Joey's when Jody comes out?
I'll be there Saturday around noon.
Stewart
Yessir!... not sure if we will make both days, our slots are 2-5 and 5-8 on Sunday. You doing tuning, or just going for the festivities?
Hopefully we will be able to catch you all at the next "tech day", now that Pismo is behind us, we should be able to make it (whenever the next one is)
Alright, I'll have it towed back up here. I'm at DLI until June, then who knows, maybe even Germany. What are the odds of hydrolocking becoming a concern, assuming an injector is stuck wide open?
I'd be more concerned about the fuel washing down the cylinder walls into the oil than anything. Let us know what works for you and we'll make it happen. Even if we aren't replacing an injector this weekend, let's get to the bottom of whats going on with your truck. I've read some of your other threads and it sounds like you've had a little trouble with more than this. We'll get you straightened out.
Milman, you have one of the best offers with two of the best guys on here. Take it, you won't be sorry. As Peter said, they will get you straightened out. Then your going to want mods, good luck. I didn't know Jody was coming down, how many guys are showing up? Its a drive for me but sounds great. Nov.18?

Chet, it's Nov. 16th,17th and 18th... At Joey's (Terminator Eng.) in Modesto.
Not sure who all will be there, but I know Jody has filled almost every time slot when we last spoke with him.

Yeah, I've had (or am having) a good number of small issues, which all add up to what seems like a huge expense to get an old dog to just stay alive. I really am glad y'all are willing to help get to the bottom of all of this! I'd rather have just about anyone on this forum under the hood than listen to what the dealership's service management wants to tell me.
Well, after a fight with the service rep at the dealership, a yelling match between a UPS driver and the tow truck operator, she's back home in the driveway ready for TLC. And I got a friendly email from the privatized military housing organization that says, "No changing oil or coolant on the property, including all parking lots." Nothing there about changing injectors though.
Did they see you bring the truck home, and then send the e-mail?
Geez, what's a guy supposed to do? They're pretty much FORCING you to have someone else do your oil changes? That wouldn't fly with me.
Actually, I think they saw me changing the oil in my wife's van in my driveway a couple of weeks ago, and decided a "friendly reminder" was in order. It would seem my "ignorance card" has been played.
They are forcing everyone here to pay for an oil change. That's not even the worst of the regulations we have to abide by. I have to remind myself that this is California, and we live in a privately maintained community that falls prey to the water district's every whim in order to stay on good terms. Did I mention this is California?
