I have an 03' escape that the radio started coming on by itself with the ignition off. Now, the radio has no power, and the upper cig lighter also has no power. All connections look good and were tested with a meter, and no fuses are blown.
I was advised that it may be a BCM problem. - Any ideas?
I would look at the GEM module and associated relays. The Generic Electronic Module is the brains that keeps the lights & radio on after the ignition is switched off, and does door locks, keyless entry, remotes, etc. It has a bunch of relays it operates, and one could be sticking, or it could be the GEM itself. I have read to look under the drivers side of the dash for corrosion from water leakage.

You're using an ebay listing as an authoritative source? Seriously? Go
Ford does not call any of their parts the "Body Control Module" (BCM). That is usually a GM term.
A GEM is the same thing as BCM. Other makers call it a BCM. Odd how the part number on that listing matches an 03 Escape when you call a Ford dealer, huh? So if the OP ends up needing the part, his vehicle indeed does have a "BCM" as he referred to it. Or "GEM" in Ford terms. I suggest you RTFM yourself.
