Does My '93 Explorer XLT Have a GEM Module?
I'm having wierd problems with dash lights going out. Sometimes, you can turn the ignition on & off enough to make them stay on.
I've researched this site, and if my vehicle has a GEM module, I would be very suspicious of it.
Also, I've had a recent battle with the CD player in the radio. Fixed that, but had to remove the radio a few times....
If I have a GEM Module in this car, is it behind the radio?

Hi. I learned something that may help you. I have a 96, and was experiencing some problems with a security system I'd had installed. The sales rep from the alarm company told me the fault might be in the compatability with the GEM module, but he wasn't sure if they'd begun using that item in mine, or after 96. Therefore I believe your Explorer should not have a GEM module. Best of luck with your problem.
