Hi guys. Have '01 7.3 with 160K miles. DP tuner F5 60&80E 40&60 tow & decel. AFE intake & manifold 3.5 DP to 4" Magnaflo turbo back exhaust and auto meter guages - boost, trans & EGT.
Just had the oil cooler rebuilt and new O-rings on the fuel bowl drain replaced. Driving home from the shop the engine sounded like it went into a high performance tune ( louder injector noise and power surge )after shifting into second gear - did it twice and threw a P1211 code. It cleared OK ( on AE ) and has been OK since. Could this be from air in fuel line after the fuel bowl O-ring work?
Have you looked at the ICP sensor itself, you might have oil in the connector causing a biased reading, which might explain the noise as well.
Generally a P1211 can be relatively common with higher HP tunes and the hpop not being able to provide enough oil, but your tunes are relatively low and wouldn't likely cause the issue.
Thanks Al. It was only a temporary thing and has not happened since in a couple hundred miles but I was just wondering if some air in the fuel line would cause this.
