Reduced Engine Power Code- oil overfilled
This is the second time in three thousand miles that I have gotten the reduced engine power wrench and the code it threw was for too much oil. When the code was reset the first time the oil was changed by the same shop. They said that it was not overfilled but they wanted to be safe and change it anyway to rule that out. It ran good for those three thousand miles then threw the code again today for the second time. Any suggestions? When it goes into limp mode it maxes out at 50 mph. This is an 08 F550 box truck with a rebuilt motor from Ford with less than 5k miles on it.

fuel leak adding fuel to oil...making oil.
did you check it yourself?
I would almost be the fuel lines in the valve covers are leaking. They (a ford shop) needs to test the fuel system for leaks.

I plan on taking it by a ford dealership tomorrow and having them do a diagnostic check. They want $120 for checking it out to see if its something covered by the two-year unlimited-mileage warranty that came with the motor
