Debating on getting the HPX

I'm a little stumped on whether or not I want to get the HPX(high pressure crossover). I do believe that it does what it's supposed to, but is it another place to have a leak?

Guys that HAVE them, I would like to hear your opinions. Thanks.

From the testing Jody did on his personal Excursion, the engine was smoother without it.

i have no "real" data to prove its worthyness, but no leaks here after 2yrs. Only downfall, is, it gets in the da$# way when removing the turbo...

I have one, a couple years now, no issues. I do have the rail plugs in my glove box should it ever start to leak. Let it cool, remove, and re-plug it.

I definitely like that it allows the rails to be more equally pressurized, IE reading both sides with the ICP.

way too many variables in that comment for it to be a freeing statement.....after putting in my swamps singles and adrenaline with the check valves removed and the hpx removed i quickly put the hpx back in because it ran and idled like crap.....much better with the crossover in......

if you check out the graph on strictly's website you will see it even out the hpo pulses in the rails.....not really a performance thing but a solution to fix an inbalance.....

Yup. You have 2 rails....one on each bank. But only 1 pressure sensor.

same here. no leaks, noticed instant sound difference with #7 & 8 cylinders... no maintenance issues whatsoever. go for it! you'll like it.

and if I leave my alone, what's the outcome? Currently runs with a chip, injectors and turbo and exhaust in the future. What imbalance?

Could be if #8 injector is not getting enough oil psi. I didn't notice any improvement dough.
