Thanks for such quick answers guys.

Looks like I'll be adding it to the list.

I definitely like that it allows the rails to be more equally pressurized, IE reading both sides with the ICP.
Are you saying that as far as installing it goes?

What I was saying is I kept the rail plugs in my glove box in the event of a HPX leak, so I can remove the HPX and plug it if needed.

It's a little harder to install if the truck is put together, but essentially you locate, remove the rail plugs. Curse all the oil leaking into the valley. Try to contain it with paper towels. Then depending on which model you go with, install the fittings, tighten, and that's it. I did mine the first time with the top end all together. Kind of a pain. I had to remove the turbo to do o-rings.....it's much easier with everything removed, lol

Ahh Gotcha.

That is a smart idea to keep the rail plugs. I never like throwing anything away even if I never use it again.

The install sounds easy enough and I know some words are going to be tossed around lol.

I will be getting the HPX from Riffraff.

When I installed my T500 HPOP I called as asked Joey if I need a HPX and he said NO since the drainback valves are not installed T500 and HPO is equalized at the pump. He said "You don't need it but it can't hurt."

So I don't use one. I just feel my money was better spent on a good HPOP. And for me it is just one less thing that can leak.

I think the FRx gives way more benefit than the HPX does. I ran an HPX for about a year and then ditched it when I was doing a bunch of work in the valley. Haven't really noticed a big difference. Now, with the FRx, I could hear the difference when I first started the truck. Riffraff Diesel: Fuel Rail Crossover™

Yeah, I read that you wouldn't really need to use the HPX if you were using an HPOP like the T500.

I don't have the money or the actual need of a new HPOP since mine is working fine (for now...).

In the future I'll be looking into getting bigger injectors and the other fun stuff. That's when I'll get the T500.

The FRX is on the list as well.

Would there be any benefit in running both the HPX and FRX?

Would it hurt if you ran both the HPX and the FRX? I would only think that it would be better to run both. I see them both as improvements but I don't want to install one just to then eventually ditch it and run the other.

Should I just get the FRX and not even worry about getting the HPX?

one has nothing to do with the other....frx is fuel and hpx is oil......they both have a purpose....do both......the t500 comparison is not exactly accurate either.....Atleast in my truck after installing the modded hpop and removing the hpx I shortly thereafter put it back in.....my truck likes it....

Thanks for clearing this up. I was getting confused lol

I think I'll try both and see how my truck likes them.

I am going to do the FRX next time I have some extra cash, I do have a bit of cackle to clear up. I tossed around getting the HPX since it is quite affordable and I will after reading this thread, not like it can hurt anything.
