No issues with my HPX. The fun of making it was more than what i noticed. I didn't notice a thing. NADA.. I didn't even put one on my dads truck.. He asked why and i told him. He then asked did you notice a difference? I said, Honestly, NO.. so he didn't want it.. He owned his truck since new.. The entire time that thing has pulled and pulled.. He has a 2000.. I wouldn't do it again. I only did it from the claimed benefits. Didn't notice a thing. But it was fun goofing around with it.

I did the CCK kit on the fuel rails. Same observation.

I have a stainless hpx, it went on in ten minutes and has never leaked.
I noticed a smoother idle right away. Maybe it was the placebo effect

Just installed the stainless HPX, super easy, didnt have to remove anything. No leaks initially, gonna drive it 25 miles and see. First start had to crank maybe 1 second longer to build oil pressure I guess, then it immediately sounded smoother, I dont know maybe placebo effect. Gonna drive it for a while and see what happens. The tube itself fit perfectly, didnt need any coaxing, which was nice.

I don't think it is a placebo effect. I put one on my X when I tore down the top of the engine for boots and cleaning, and I didn't tell the wife what I had done. She asked me what I had done to the truck when she drove it the next time. I asked her why she wanted to know, and she said "because it is quieter when I'm sitting at stop lights". Proof enough for me, since she doesn't know anything about the mechanics involved. I also think it is quieter since the HPx was put on.

What is this EXTRA CASH you speak of. I have bought alot (I mean alot) of stuff for my truck. I guess if I would have waited for EXTRA CASH I would have saved alot of money. hehehe

So, if these Before and After pics don't tell the story, then I don't know what else to tell you.

I can't claim them, those are from Strictly Diesel's website. However, I've seen numerous charts just like them over the years from guys who did it on their truck.

Well, you still get credit for finding and posting them. Impressive info for sure.

I didn't get one when I did the top end of my 7.3 simply because the reward didn't seem worth the possible risks. I did do the fuel dead head fix though and did notice a difference with it.

Not only did it get quieter and smoother like many mention but it fixed the on/off throttle problem at low speeds (5-10mph).

The oil part, the only thing I see mentioned is a possible bit quieter or smooth idle. Not worth the extra place for an oil leak (possible problem) to me.

This is what I don't understand why people say this...maybe it's my ignorance of the situation. But, I know from the much older hose versions (10-12 years ago) this was a possibility in that the hoses would *occasionally* get punctured or rupture. But now, with the solid stainless steel line versions, there's no more chance of a leak than with the stock plugs in. I mean, you're replacing two plugs with a gasket, with two fittings with a gasket. I don't see much if any difference between the two.
