great motor, parts can be a pita to find used though (intakes and such)... We had one in a 54' for a while, that ran on propane, that thing would haul...
They are a good motor for racing. Smaller main journals which makes it easier for them to stay wet with oil. Parts arent THAT hard to find. Just a tad more expensive.

Location could affect how easy parts are to find... Around here there difficult, and when you do find them they command a premium...

Welcome to FTE, and looking forward to seeing what you have up your sleeve!
upgraded timing chain, airgap intake, 9.5 compression, balance engine. little port work on exhaust and dress up intakes a little. you have a pissed off little cleveland. ran the comp cams 268 hi energy. nice little combo for 4wd with some gear. can convert to roller cam and can be better. several ways to go about. upgrade rod bolts to ARP and should be good to go. if turning harder than 6000rpms alot go with upgraded rods. really like this engine. just did a 400 ford with air gap intake from 351 cleveland and several upgrades. any questions drop a message. good engine!!
Used in Aussie Falcons until 1982, and Aussie F trucks and Broncos until 1985 (I think?) though. My Australian built '79 F250 has a 351 cleveland in it.
