I wouldn't be too concerned about failure of the valve. Lots of people (myself included) have been using these for a long time on oil pans and I don't recall seeing anyone mention a failure, and oil change intervals are far more frequent than cooling flushes.
Alright, I'll probably invest in them then. Thanks for the help.

Sounds like a good list to me. Probably any coolant filter decision will be of some help. The "EGR delete vs cooler upgrade decision" is a personal choice IMO, but some model years don't have proper fan operation without an EGR valve plugged in and my opinion is if you delete the EGR system you need a tuner to take that into account in the combustion controls.

I have had the block drain fumoto valves for over a year now. They are doing quite fine. Drain plug is 16x1.5. I used the O-Ring from oil drain plug part # 3C3Z-6026-DA
Like I said, I have a feeling CLR is gonna be the same thing as using the VC-9 cleaner. I've used it in a multitude of things and haven't had any issues with it yet. I will be getting a tuner for the truck after the head studs are in, which I plan to do at the same time as the EGR/cooler delete. I have heard that you want to use the o-ring you listed so I'll make sure I get those to go with the valves.

I'm also sporting a pre-filter screen in my oil cooler cover that seems to be working flawlessly, time and miles will tell if it was a bad idea or not.
The Evapo-Rust seems like a good idea as well. It seems like there's definitely more than one way to skin a cat.

Doesn't give thread size but;

Fumoto F-108N Engine Oil Drain Valve : Amazon.com : Automotive
x2 I bought F-108N for my block drains and it was huge time saver for the multiple distilled water flushes. I ran tubing from the valves and zipped tied them togther in the middle underneath for a centralized drain point. I could jack up the X, put a 5-gallon bucket under the tubing, open one valvue then the other and not spill a drop. Very effective.

As a side, I also installed the Fumoto F-111N in my oil pan for easier oil changes.

Amazon had the best prices.

What would you guys say is the best EGR/cooler delete out there? There's so many of them it's hard to say anymore.

If you're going to delete the EGR cooler itself then find the cheapest kit you can. They're virtually all made at the same place anyway IIRC.

Spend the money and get a kit that has the one piece coolant hose, dont get the 2 piece kits.

Yea, I noticed they all look fairly similar.

Thanks for the advice. I'll do some digging.

Let's keep it going!

IPR's second generation EGR cooler delete kit is a one-piece job and pretty slick.
IPR GEN2 EGR Delete Kit for all 2005-2007 Ford Powerstroke 6.0 will fit F250, F350, F450
Note that it will not fit 03-04 models.
