Have not been on the site in a while, progress has been slow between moving, work and other projects but I've managed to keep going on it. I am considering moving my brake/clutch assembly from under the cab to a firewall mount I don't care for the look of a giant booster on my firewall. Does anyone have any input on manual brakes? it would be less clutter on the firewall.
How do you like the welder series mustang II. I’ve been looking at them but wanting to hear from someone that has one. Only thing that concerns me is that you have to cut the upper mountings brackets. How do you know where to cut to keep all the steering and suspension geometry proper.
Great job jrc! Saw you got the little guy in there too! I had my daughter help out in ‘her’ truck too! Hope its progressed from 3 years ago! Rabbit hole for sure with the complete fire wall replace. MHO, put the firewall booster in. Master cylinders under cab invite degraded brake fluid, contaminents. Just make it looknice!
btw,i did a helix weld in kit on my 54, instructions were off 1.5 inches too far back on the cross member, didnt know till later...smaller rims on front now, little more rake!
oh, and btw, you cant have too many clamps!
