I know this isnt quite truck related but we JUST finally finished a winter build on my wheelin rig so I figured i'd post it up here for you guys to see! The jeep is the reason I bought my powerstroke cause my 1500 couldnt cut the cake haha
They are just goofing around here. The cage wont be this low.
I cant thank these guys enough! The one who owns the shop actually helped build one of the king of hammers rigs and was his mechanic for the race. Lucas Murphy if anyone has heard of him and Mike are good friends.
We used 10 sticks of 1 3/4" .120 DOM and 2 sticks of 1 1/2" .120 DOM.
So we had a change in plans. It was gonna stay yellow, but as a joke they painted some pink on it when I wasnt there. After some thinking and talking we decided to go pink on the cage and tube fenders with stickers on the hood saying "Crawling for a Cure". We have already started raising money with the jeep for breast cancer now and hope that it will continue with getting it out to events etc!
These are the pics they sent me as the Joke
Now these are the pics of how it actually came out
A little of this
Turned into a little of this with the kids wheelers
You've got quite the exoskeleton on that rig now though. You don't have a lot to worry about if it rolls, or goes sliding over the rocks. That's a whole lot of tubing!
That was the idea I cant wait to get to the events with it now haha yeah 10 sticks of 1.75" and 2 or 1.5" haha. Each stick is 20Ft long so about 240ft of tube lol
The pink started as a joke but then the hot pink and the black actually looked kinda cool. So we got ahold of the "Crawling for a Cure" group and said we were going to build a "Cure" rig and have already raised over $1500 just from the build to help with breast cancer.
Also since I'm doing it as a cure rig companies love to sponsor that stuff to get a good name out so pretty much I'll run companies stickers and they'll give me discounts on beadlocks, tires, parts etc.
