97 351w
I have a 97 351w out of a F-250 I am swaping into my 95 F-150. I planned on building the engine first but money is tight so that will have to wait.
What can I do on a budget to wake this engine up some?

This is what I did to the 351W in my 95: 1.7 Cobra roller rockers (Ford found these to add 15 HP to the 93 Cobra 5.0), I worked over the exhaust ports in the E7 heads, removing the Thermactor bumps from the port roofs. Tapped and plugged the EGR hole in the upper intake, underneath the EGR valve, using a 3/8 pipe tap and allen plug. I also replaced the iron exhaust manifolds with a set of Summit Shorty headers, removed the rear cat, and emptied out the front cat. I don't know how much good all this did as the truck wasn't in runing condition before I did all this. I do know the city mileage sucks at 8 mpg (think this is due to the 3.08 gear in the reaend) Highway mileage is around 16 mpg.
