What engine to build
Buying a 92 Nite f150 4x4 shortbox.
has a 5 speed in it and was a 302 which is gone.
I have a 92 302 engine i can throw in and drive it.
I want to do a efi stroker but never done a Performance efi engine up.
I can get ahold of a maf 302 from a 75
or find a carbed stroker.
Not a fan of stock 351w or 460.
Any input from guys that have done strokers in these trucks would be great.

Even a stock 351W is better than any 302 in a truck. Don't see your reasoning there. Even a stroker 351 will fall short of the power a 390 puts out. You'll need the biggest heads on a 351 to get to that level. I would start with a roller 351 from a 95-97.
