95 f250 351W has monster cracks in exhaust mani. just inspected, considering repair with longtube headers, no y, cat or muff.
know it will be loud, will it hurt the 351W?
Wont hurt it. I ran my 86 with open long tubes for 6 months. I got pulled over for something else twice and the cops didn't say anything about the exhaust.... lol
Gets annoying though.
Why are you not going to finish the exhaust? My excuse was I didn't have the money at the time.
Do plan to finish the ex, just wanted to see if there was a step-by-step approach that wouldn't hurt the 351. $
Just need the longtubes, then either y or extra cat. have two muff assemblies that fit the f250.
no experience with LT's yet but i have heard nothin but good thinks about horsepower and torque increase... also flowtech are probly the worst fitting LT's, so i would avoid those even though there super cheap
Actually I ran flowtechs in my 86 and they fit perfect.. I was surprised for how cheap they were. I would deff recommend a GOOD high heat paint for them though.

Why don't you just use some short tubes, Buy the right kind and they can bolt up to the factory y-pipe. Are you hoping to gain something else by running them open?

This is just spreading a HUGE myth, it's the lack of proper scavenging that causes burt valves.

This is something that did happen on old carbed engines because they have no way to compensate for changes in airflow through the motor.. the carb has to be rejetted manually. But this simply won't happen on an EFI motor as long as the O2 sensor is installed at the header collector and is electrically connected.
Were here fur you mane. Captain Morgan in the hizzy. I don't know what the gain hp wise will be, but I know it will keep your computer happy. Do you need to keep emissions?
