MPG Success--at least some...
Hey, Folks: Just thought some people might like to hear that the info. on this message board really helps. When I first bought my truck, I was getting about 7.7 mpg. Yikes! Went right to work on basic tune-up stuff: cap,rotor,plugs,wires,O2 sensor. I then wrapped the intake hoses and filter box with aluminum tape. On my latest trip, I was up to a solid 10.7! I am going to try plugging the EGR system and see if that helps. I could use and extra 2mpg as was reported earlier this month. I'll report back on the results. Thanks for all the help, guys.

You could also try side-gapping your plugs for added horsepower and added mpg (although the plugs will not last as long). I put a set of side gapped into my '82 F150 w/351W yesterday and I should have some preliminary mileage stats to pass on to you sometim tomorrow.
