Got my tunes from Matt and was VERY disappointed. I talked with Larz at Gearheads and he suggested that the connection to the MAP sensor that my Attitude monitor uses to register boost was the problem. After removing the connection, NOW I see what an SCT can do for you. 2 questions: first, why does removing that connection seem to make so much difference?; second, how can I measure boost with my Attitude monitor without messing up the SCT? I use the Attiude to register RPM, EGT, and formerly boost. I am not running the Edge (set on zero). I have a ScanGaugeII but like to leave it on volts, EOT, ECT, and TFT.
Can't you add two extra sensors ?
If so then you could use that to read the
boost pressure.

Not sure, but 2 extra sensors to what? I'm in over my head since I didn't install the Edge myself. Don't know why the problem occurs, why disconnecting from the MAP sensor fixed it, or how to get the Attitude to register boost without causing the same problem.
I may be mistaken, but the Attitude appears to be for sending a false boost signal to the PCM so that it will call for more boost from the turbo - a very risky way to get more power.
I see the Edge was plugged into the MAP.
It may of been loading the circuit so the PCM
was having problems with the tune.
The boost fooler tricks the system into
thinking that the boost is not where is really is
and the system responds with more boost.
You should be able to add 2 extra sensors
to the Edge. That may be how you have to do it. Edge Products| Products

Oh Im with ya Now
Its a Good thing it didnt run right cuz with all that Fooling and tuning you could have Overboosted and blew the HeadGaskets

I think you're right about the Edge, hence it is being "mothballed" in favor of the SCT. I'm just using the Attitude monitor.
