Small update to report. Took a break from wiring and engine bay work. Wire wheeled my driveshafts, primed and painted, then installed new spicer u-joints. Wish they would stay this nice. Next up is to install speakers. After reading MikeOoOoOo's thread I figured out I have to remove door to drill holes for my speaker wire grommets. That was some good planning there wasn't it. Oh well, gotta be done.

Nice driveshafts. I know yours are done, but I sandblasted mine the best I could and then brushed on some chassis saver gloss black and they look as good now as they did from day 1. Since they under the the truck they don't get exposed to the sun and fade. Hold up to pressure washer also.

Yea, I didn't want to take my doors off either so opted to just drill a small hole for wire. Doors are a pain and I didn't want to do it over.

I know what you mean about the doors. I spent hours lining them suckers up. When I do it this time, I'm going to do the pilot hole trick.

I think you made a good decision on the color, I really like that green.
I never have been able to warm up to green/brown combo.

Looking good hickory. you really dont have to pull the doors to drill the speaker wires. I drilled mine with the doors on and no issues with the wires getting pinched.

Did you drill them in the stock locations?

IIRC there is a little dent right above the hinge which was original on both my truck and the bronco that I got the original harness from. I think I used a small DB and then switched to a step drill to gain space for the drill itself. Done with the door on.

Did you have to use a right angle drill on the door.

If you dont have the doors put together you can fit a normal cordless drill in there and drill the door from the inside. if the doors are put together then yes you will need a 90 degree drill.

Thanks for the tip. Didn't think of doing it that way.

Got around to installing the driveshafts in truck. Got soundproofing behind in-cab gas tank and doors for now. Also started fabbing up dual exhaust system. Used HIO Silver's advice and got a universal 2 1/2 inch mandrel exhaust kit from Summit Racing. Plenty of piece's to get the job done. Here are some pictures of the progress so far.
