Oh man Hickory! That truck is gorgeous, period!
I can only hope my paint turns out as nice.
My envy meter, besides being the same color as your truck, is totally pegged!

Thanks Mike. Now all you have to do is get home and get the Pumpkin painted Kona Blue. I'm anxious to see her put together. Feels good to being this close to being done. Then I can just spend time fine-tuning everything.
Thanks for the compliments. Now that the weather is starting to warm up I'm getting itchy to get this truck done so I can enjoy it. Been working on the door weatherstrips today. Got the vent window handles installed today also.
Well I took delivery of the step bumper Rougeriver sent me yesterday. Got started today dollying out some minor dents left by the slide out bumper brackets. Then I plug welded the four mounting holes from the slide out bumper. Off to the sandblaster tomorrow.
Today I made new mounting brackets for my step bumper. Bumper is off of Rougeriver's truck which has the wider frame. Figured I could make it fit with new brackets welded into place. Lots of measuring, cutting, and drilling. Once I was satisfied with fit I welded them into place. Test fit bumper on truck, fits perfect. Now I can take to get sandblasted. Was going to do that last Monday but got talked out of retirement to build kitchen cabinets for a guy all week. Oh well, helps pay for some more goodies. Also started to glue my door weatherstrips on. I searched some threads on how to do it and some guys like to do it in stages. Made sense to me so that's how I'm doing it.
Good thing I never throw anything away! I had no idea that was an original Ford bumper until your request went out. So glad you were able make it work! You've got it looking good, and will look awesome when you get it painted in fresh silver paint.

I am really glad you didn't throw it away. I looked for months trying to find a straight one. They don't exist, at least not around here. Hopefully I can have it painted and mounted next weekend. Thanks again David.
