Got my bumper back from stripper's on Friday. Primed and painted today. Going to let the paint cure for a couple days then mount it up. Been working on getting everything together to wire in a 4-way 7-way trailer receptacle.
Got the painted bumper mounted. Also mounted the draw-tite receiver hitch and wired up the 7-way trailer receptacle. Also installed all of the exterior trim and badging. Hopefully windshield will be going in tomorrow. insurance and plates not too far in the future.
Glorious! Your Highboy is incredible! Love the gorgeous green paint, your perfect interior, aluminum slots, on and on....every detail is perfection! Job well done, can't wait to see many more pics of it once you start enjoying it out on the open road!
Thanks for the compliments gentlemen. Windshield goes in tomorrow. Found a glass guy from my friend who is also a car and truck guy. He found an original ford tinted windshield from his supplier. $165 plus $90 to put it in. I have both plain and slotted for wide trim weatherstrips, but it is going to be plain for now as my stainless trim is not that nice. When I find some or have mine restored I can always have him swap it out. I did the rear window but don't have the guts to do the front.
Yep, that's what I like about it. That's what a lot of them had dealer installed from what I can find. Thanks to Rougeriver's generosity, I finally found a straight one.
Looking awesome Hickory! I think I saw in another thread that you were looking at getting wheel lip mouldings. Might be a little late but I wanted to throw out that I got the ones from Dennis Carpenter for I think $150 for the set of 4. I was really happy with the fit on them for the price.
Just thought I'd chime in with that. I think it would set off the looks of your truck even more having them on! Nonetheless awesome job!
