So would you say you're now geared up for production?

Did you figure out the cost per gear yet, or how many you'll be initially making?

Subscribed. I would be willing to bet, that with a step-by-step write up as to how to make the repair, you could sell quite a few of these on ebay.

Here is a thought for you when trying this in the future... Try kickstarter.com. While this will be the most effective when trying to do a startup that can serve the masses, even in a case like this which has a very specific application, the goal can be met. Doing so allows you to secure commitments in an organized fashion; if the goal isn't met, no one has paid a dime. This will help the people making the commitment more secure in their decision by providing you a big boost in credibility.

You seem like a nice guy but in the end we are all just a bunch of internet weirdoes until proven otherwise.

In fact this approach might be a good one in dealing with numerous hard to find parts.

Thank you for your suggestion, I will look into that site. As soon as I get the tap in my hands I will post a pic!
