Hope someone has some idea how to fix this issue. I have a 2004 Excursion 6.0 with 103,000 miles, about eight thousand miles ago it started not going into overdrive, sometimes it will, sometimes it will not. As of the last 3000 miles it will not go into overdrive. There are no error codes, the tow haul light is not illuminated, the tranmission was serviced 3500 miles ago, the truck runs great shifts nice just no overdrive. At 70mph its turning just over 2000rpm.
I have taken it to two transmission shops there response is to swap transmissions. Has anyone experienced this issue. Help!
