overdrive out ?
i have a 2004 ford f150. the over drive has gone out,can i drive it still or what do i need to do?

How can you tell your OD is out? What are your rpms at 55mph?

when the overdrive button is turned on, the truck will not shift into the last gear...its like it goes into neutral...if i turn off the overdrive button, it runs fine, it just runs on higher rpm's...

Had the same issue with a previous car. THe OD whent first, and then others started to go. I would take it to someone you trust - some fly by night shop will tell you anything to get a tanny replaced.
