An air pressure or water pressure gauge can be used in a pinch for short term, off the drain valve.

Do you have the early 99 or late 99. If you have the early 99 then you will need a tiny grinder or a carbide rotary file to grind down some of the up pipe to collector connection which is going to give interference to the drivers side on install. You will also need a 1/4 inch square socket to get the square head plug off of your head on both the drivers side and passenger side. DO NOT try to use vice grips or anything other than a 1/4 inch square head socket. They are both in real crappy spots to get to. I hope you have the late 99 because the up pipe to collector fitting will be 5/8 inch to 3/4 inch higher and will not be interference. Look for that socket though or you will be hard pressed to get those plugs out and you will be cursing a lot.

If you read alllllll the wayyyyy to the end of the instructions for install on RR site then you will see that there is interference with the early 99's That is why my FRX is still on the bench. That and I want to upgrade to a late99-03 bellowed up pipes, pedestal, GTP38R setup and I will do the FRX when I do all of that stuff.

Save your money, time and hassle...

Get a H2e type kit, or build you own...

It will cost you 2500 or so to get the 38R on there...

It will cost you less to get a GOOD T4 or T4i kit on there, and you have limitless turbo options then.
